Temple Beth El Israel Library
On Tuesday, January 5, 2016, theTemple Beth El Israel Religious School students had the privilege of working with Kaskeset, a Jewish a cappella group from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton. The series of videos begins with the children meeting and working with Kaskeset. Following their brief rehearsal, the kids actually perform with the a cappella group to an audience of over 200. The evening was truly inspirational!!!
Sincere thanks and appreciation are extended to the Sobel Family for sponsoring this event in loving memory of Lara Sobel, whose life was brutally and tragically taken. May her memory always be a blessing.
Enjoy the six, short videos. At the conclusion, Fauxcis (aka Michael Benson) joins with Kaskeset to rap during the grand finale.

Did you become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah at Temple Beth El Israel between 2007 and today?
TBEI Alumni have a unique opportunity to take part in the 2016 Grammy Awards.
Rabbi Benson is one of 14,000 people who get to vote for who will be nominated, and possibly win, a Grammy Award. Rabbi has offered to share this vote with members of the TBEI Alumni group, a very amazing (and incredibly not according to the rules) offer!!!
There will be two opportunities to vote. The first round of voting (for nominations) must take place AND be mailed prior to November 4, 2015. The voting will take place on November 1, 2015, at 12:00 noon in the Social Hall of the Temple. All are invited.
In March, the three TBEI alumni members who have performed the most mitzvot (the list will be provided) between now and then will get to vote on the finalists for the Grammies. In effect, all the alumni will be taking part in choosing the winner of the 2016 Grammy Awards.
Not too shabby. The only way to participate is by becoming a TBEI alumni member. To join the TBEI AIumni, simply contact Billy Weinshank at the Temple office. Call 772-336-2424. Don’t miss this very special, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
We are looking forward to seeing you.
