Seudat Havra’ah, the Jewish meal of consolation served to the family of the deceased after the funeral. Eggs and bread are usually included, and friends and neighbors provide the food to ease the burden on the family.: Neighbor Provid, Jewish Meals, Consoles Serving, Seudat Havra Ah, Orchards 97

The Hevra Committee, an adjunct of the Ritual Committee, performs the mitzvah of preparing and serving the meal of consolation following the funeral of a congregant or an immediate family member at the request of the family.
